Job Summary:

NetViet’s Client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations in Vietnam. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in multinational companies (MNCs). This role will report directly to Vietnam CFO, playing a critical role in driving financial strategy and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations in Vietnam, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Vietnamese financial regulations and standards, including tax and audit requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the Finance Director in Singapore and the Vietnam CFO.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”): Implement and maintain GRC policies and robust internal controls in alignment with head office’s requirements to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the local finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Strategic Planning: Support the CFO in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial insights and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.

• Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in financial management with a preference for those familiar with IFRS rather than VAS.
• Priority will be given to candidates who have:
  • Experience working in MNC joint ventures.
  • Previously held roles as a Financial Controller (FC) or Chief Accountant.

Skills:

• • Strong knowledge of Vietnamese financial regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Language: Strong English communication skills is a MUST.
